Dear Students,
Welcome to the website for Ms. Willard's Classical Works/World Poetry and Literature/Composition II classes! On this website, you will find a variety of resources to help you succeed in English class this year. Over our semester together, we will work on improving our writing and reading skills so that we can become more informed and articulate members of society -- and we'll have a little fun along the way.
Think of this website as a kind of reference book for this class. Check out the links on the left for tips to improve your writing and to double check grammar and punctuation rules. There's also a blog where you can find your homework assignments in case you forget to write them down in class, and a collection of important documents that we will refer to throughout the semester. If you're missing something from class, there's a good chance you'll find it here.
We'll be reading a lot of different works from a lot of different perspectives this semester. I hope you find these readings to be as engaging as I have. I know each of you has something positive to add to our class -- a new perspective, insight, or talent that will help us see these texts in a new light. I look forward to hearing what you think, both in class discussion, and in writing!
Best,
Ms. Willard
